Palate Patrol

By: Dee Johnson, General Manager

The Palate Patrol dined at Carino’s Italian Grill this week.  The entire staff at Carino’s is extremely friendly & helpful.  Our server, Julie Sherpersky, was very informative & explained the new featured dishes.  Manager Nick Suridis does a knock-out job of keeping his restaurant running smoothly. In usual Palate Patrol fashion, the group started with Italian Nachos. Thumbs up to a “10” on the Nachos!

Cindi R: “For my entrée, I enjoyed the new Lobster Ravioli – the lemon basil cream sauce & wilted spinach which added just the right touch.  Be sure to ask for a side of gorgonzola cream sauce to dip your bread in – it’s amazing!  As if that wasn’t enough, I finished with a mini chocolate cake.”
Augie F: “Fresh-baked bread, roasted garlic chips & seasoned olive oil were brought to our table immediately & we commenced to ripping & dipping.  I had the Cedar Plank Salmon that was grilled, glazed & served on an actual cedar plank that helped sear in the entire flavor & freshness of the fish that paired up perfectly with the sautéed spinach & angel hair pasta in a very light vegetable sauce.”
Dee J: “The Creamy Potato Bacon Soup really got my taste buds going.  For my entrée, I enjoyed the Homemade 16-Layer Lasagna, which is one of Carino’s classic Italian dishes that they make fresh daily.  And they are not skimpy on their portions at all, as my piece was so huge I needed a to go box!  That was one leftover that did not stay leftover for long!”
Scott W: “I too started off with the Creamy Potato Bacon Soup.  For my entrée I ordered the Chicken Penne Gorgonzola.  It was a heaping pile of pasta covered in creamy Gorgonzola sauce & filled with chicken, mushrooms, garlic & Roma tomatoes.  If that wasn’t enough, I had a mini Tiramisu for dessert.  Everything was just delicious & I left stuffed.”
Mark J: “I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bowtie Festival, which had bowtie pasta, Asiago cream sauce, tomatoes, bacon, garlic & chicken.  This is the dish that keeps bringing me back to Carino’s.  The food & service are excellent, & the NY Cherry Cheesecake
really topped it all off!”
